The most valuable skill I have learned as an English major is the ability to think critically. Writing well demands careful consideration and a reasoned perspective. My primary area of interest in literary studies was French, American, and British Modernism; below you can view my textual analysis of works from this period and others. During my time at Penn State, my interests continued to change and develop. The final writing sample represents my increasing interest in using my critical thinking skills to address issues of educational inequality and disadvantage.
This final paper, which was written as part of my African Americans and the Law class, shows my developing interest in issues of education inequality in America.
